Bates Middle School, Sumter Career and Technology Center, and University of South Carolina will Explore Aerospace Science during NASA STEM Night

Bates Middle School, Sumter Career and Technology Center, and University of South Carolina will co-host their first NASA STEM Night Thursday, September 20 from 6-8 PM at Bates Middle School. Come join us for the opportunity to learn about drones, rockets and aerospace careers!

 

Students and their families will have the opportunity to explore and engage in STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) related challenges and activities. Dr. Hui-Yinng Chang, Assistant Professor of Physics at USC Sumter will provide hands-on learning opportunities in physics. Representatives from the Sumter Career and Technology Center will also be available to answer questions regarding programs that are available at the Sumter Career and Technology Center.

 

An adult is required to be present with students at all times and are encouraged to participate in the activities with the children. This event is free and open to the public. Food will be available for purchase at the event.
