Due to school closures as a result of Hurricane Matthew, January 11 and 12 will be full days for student attendance (originally half days for high school exams). Students will also make up school on January 13 and February 20. These days were originally scheduled as a workday and inservice day, respectively. The remaining days that were missed were waived by the Board of Trustees.
State law mandates that school districts use the inclement weather days indicated on their calendars as make-up days. School districts are required to make up the first three days. If more than three days are missed, the local school board of trustees, by a majority vote, may waive no more than three days.
