Song, dance, instruments, and free expression depicted the rhythmic flow of a rich, historical celebration at Bates Middle School on Tuesday, February 21, 2017.
The student led program included speakers, a drummer, keyboardist, and vocalist. The students mesmerized the audience with their talents.
The Black History program concluded with a stellar performance by the Benedict Gospel Choir, directed by Darryl Izzard. A musical timeline of songs shared by the choir captivated the audience as the choir performed through song, instruments, and a featured violin solo.
